Job title: Head of Conflicts
Salary: £150,000-£190,0000
RedLaw is partnering with a leading law International law firm seeking a Head of Conflicts to join their London office on a permanent basis.
The role will support the firm’s global conflicts initiatives, including policy review, conflicts training and conflicts monitoring. You'll work closely with the Director of Business acceptance and the firm’s General Counsel to strengthen the firm’s global approach to conflicts compliance.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
- Lead a team of Conflicts lawyers and analysts, serving as the senior escalation point for complex conflict matters and high-level queries.
- Manage and mentor Conflicts lawyers, senior lawyers, and the Conflicts Manager, fostering professional development and operational excellence.
- Play a strategic role in shaping and implementing the firm’s Conflicts policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with SRA regulations and best practices.
- Monitor developments in conflicts legislation and regulatory requirements to maintain compliance and proactively mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with other risk-related teams—including Data Privacy, In-House Legal, Financial Crime & Sanctions, and Client Engagement Terms—to drive a coordinated, firm-wide approach to risk management.
- Draft consents, information barrier memoranda, and engagement letters, ensuring full compliance with professional conduct standards.
