I work with senior lawyers, advising on partnership and team moves within private practice at UK and US firms. I’m a Director of RedLaw, originally beginning my career as a lawyer. I spent several years at Bird & Bird, training there to becoming a mid-level associate. I later moved as part of a team to set up a successful boutique firm, before becoming a Senior Associate at Allen & Overy. In 2009, I founded RedLaw with Jonathan Benjamin. I work with senior lawyers (from senior equity partners to lawyers seeking their first partnership appointment) who are looking for a partnership move and I have had extensive experience working with lawyers on both individual moves and also on larger team moves and law firm mergers. I work with a broad spectrum of law firms predominantly in London and have placed lawyers across the commercial law spectrum: corporate, finance, real estate, energy, technology and IP, competition, tax, employment, to name a few. I was delighted to have won the 'Best Permanent Consultant' category at the Global Recruiter Awards 2022.

I trained and qualified as a real estate lawyer at DLA Piper and spent 3 years in practice before switching to legal recruitment in 2003, when I joined a large international recruitment agency. I quickly became head of the London private practice division and then a director responsible for UK and Ireland. In 2009, I founded RedLaw together with Amy Hambleton with the intention of creating a quality legal recruitment boutique. Since creation we have been privileged to win a number of industry awards. My focus is recruiting partners and teams for a range of UK and US City firms splitting my time between the UK and New York. I have a straightforward, pro-active approach honed by many years working with partners and teams. My focus is giving the right considered careers advice so if a partner makes a move it is to the right firm for the right role I like to go the gym and spend time with my three teenage children and wife. I am also a keen supporter of a variety of charities and am currently on a number of charity committees.
