Our US law firm client is well known for taking the 'long view'; whether that is in relation to laterals bedding in and growing their practice or to the successful and thoughtful development of their London office.

The Partners are now seeking an ambitious M&A partner to complement the work of a growing corporate platform with strong support departments and the access to a huge number of international opportunities and networks - particularly coming out of the US (clients, practice groups and capital).

The London office is an essential and self-sustaining part of the network. Its recruitment philosophy is to have energetic and business-minded partners and allow them the autonomy, opportunity and resource to take their practices to the next level.

The firm is agnostic on 'sector focus'; however with strong energy, technology and real estate offerings in the US it would provide additional impetus to anyone with clients in any of these areas.

Compensation is good and fairly determined, and there is no cap on what can be achieved - but a significant component of any compensation discussion will be around collegiality, sharing clients and good citizenship. And the firm is well and conservatively managed with no debt; a growing reputation here and with an established brand in the US.
