My client, a prestigious and truly global firm, is seeking a junior/mid-level Associate with a strong real estate finance background to join their real estate finance sub-group within their banking and finance team.

You will advise clients on a mix of real estate finance related matters, real estate related special situations and also a wide range of non-real estate related matters including general banking work and leveraged finance, among other practice areas (with a particular emphasis on bilateral, club and syndicated loans, comprising term loans, revolving facilities, acquisition facilities, trade finance facilities and letter of credit facilities).

You will mainly be working on cross-border transactions involving multiple jurisdictions but will also work on some UK transactions.

You will work in a collegiate environment, for a range of partners, and can expect a good variety of work although, at least initially, a significant portion of work carried out will be real estate related.

The role does not mean exclusive coverage of the real estate finance sub-group. You will be encouraged to develop your own choice of specializations and to be proficient in at least two or more banking practice areas to be able to support the team's client demands.

From the outset, associates at this prestigious international firm are encouraged to prioritise business development activities and to hone their commercial awareness. Building your own practice over time is of paramount importance, if you aspire to be a partner, and it pays to start develop the right habits early if you want to achieve this goal. You will be given regular and direct contact with clients, with a culture based on associates being given the level of responsibility they are ready for, rather than a PQE based method of work allocation.

The firm features in both The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For and The Times Top 100 Graduate Employers lists.
