Associate salaries span a wide range: there is an ever-increasing divide between the White Shoe US firms and the UK firms. Depending on the focus of the firm, there is also disparity between the various UK firms.

Many firms also operate a system which has introduced a range of salaries at a particular pqe level and some firms have also moved away from the traditional method of increasing salary depending on pqe.
